Concrete Finisher

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete work, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role involves finishing concrete surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. The Concrete Finisher will work closely with other construction professionals to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Duties

• Prepare and set up forms for pouring concrete according to project specifications.
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete using hand tools and equipment.
• Finish surfaces of poured concrete using various tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
• Perform caulking and sealing of joints as needed for waterproofing and durability.
• Assist in the renovation and building of structures as part of a larger construction team.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing heavy lifting and operating machinery.
• Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople on-site to ensure project timelines are met.

Skills

• Proficient in the use of hand tools related to concrete finishing.
• Strong understanding of concrete forming techniques and processes.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Experience with welding is a plus for structural reinforcement tasks.
• Capable of performing heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
• Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality finishes.
• Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively on-site.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.43-$35.54 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 60 per week

• concrete: 5 years (required)
